Fresh Griller at MacArthur Plaza in Santa Ana

Fresh Griller is a new Santa Ana restaurant at MacArthur Plaza (next to Starbucks). You get to build and customize your meal to your liking from a variety of natural and fresh ingredients. It’s all surprisingly affordable considering the quality of the food. We’re talking only $6 per meal!
Their Kale salad is a tasty and healthy alternative not seen at most restaurants of this kind. We had it topped with sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly and very tender. Also topped with squash and dressed with a tangy and sweet balsamic vinaigrette.
We also had their delicious grilled chicken wrap filled with brown rice, white Mediterranean beans and served with 2 kinds of salsa. Their Aji Verde sauce packs a good punch for you spice lovers.
Had to try one of their bowls as well so we chose their Steak Bowl with bowl with brown rice, squash blend and their pepper medley. For the sauce, we got their sweet ginger chile sauce.
Lastly, their pita chips and “hummus” were also great. Rather than being made of traditional chick peas, their hummus is actually a white bean puree and it comes together great with the spices.
We washed it all down with drinks from the soda fountain that served drinks with 100% cane sugar. They’ve also have an eclectic variety of teas and bottled drinks. We took one of their Maine Root Ginger Brews to go.
Lastly, this place has a good atmosphere and vibe that’s environmentally conscious (recyclable plates and utensils). You should definitely give Fresh Griller a try.
