When I was kid, I loved Fish Stick day at the school cafeteria. Yes, those sometimes soggy fish sticks, served with tater tots and apple juice. Perfect for eating and throwing. Oh, childhood memories. Now as an adult, the fried fish I crave is at O’Malley on Main in Seal Beach.
First off, there’s Barley soup which is really hearty and almost a meal in itself.
At an Irish Bar, gotta have Bangers and Mash right? Right. Dip each bite in HP sauce and mashed potatoes. Oh yeah.
Now for the best Fish and Chips. Perfect crispy batter surrounded by very firm fish, almost chicken like. Not a hint of sogginess in either the batter or the fish. And look at the size of these filets for crying out loud.
