I love this place.  Himalayan Grill is in Sunset Beach right on PCH in shopping center called Peter’s Landing.  We’ve been coming here for years and the food is delicious, it’s got a great vibe and it’s incredibly affordable!  They up the value even more by offering Groupons every once in a while.  You can get a fantastic meal for 2 for just $15.

Garlic Naan Bread

You’ve gotta get their Garlic Naan bread when you’re here.  It’s so delightful chewy and soft with crispy outer bits.  Dunk it in whatever sauce your meal is served with and you won’t be disappointed.

Rogan Josh

No, not the Fear Factor guy or the religious singer.  Rogan Josh is simply Lamb Curry.  I try to branch out and order other things when I’m here but this dish always calls to me.  I mean, what can be better than tender chunks of lamb swimming in delicious curry sauce?  Very little, if you ask me.  When you combine it with their Basmati rice, there’s no looking back.

Vegetarian Thali

Thali means combination of different dishes and their Vege Thali comes with three different dishes.  The dish on the right is called Saag Paneer which is a smooth and spicy spinach puree with little cubes of Indian cheese.  The cheese is firm and doesn’t melt when hot.  The mixed Vege Korma is on the left which consists of mixed veges in a cream curry sauce.

Vegetarian Samosas

Lastly, Vege Samosas also come with the Vege Thali order and provide yet another example of how well prepared Indian food makes vegetarianism a tolerable and tasty possibility.

Again, Himalayan Grill is one of our favorite restaurants.  On top of the great food, the bang for your buck here is fantastic and even better with these type of deals.
